After traveling extensively around the USA following my husband's resume as a country club chef, we decided to plant roots and raise our daughter in the foothills of Western NC in 1996. What a great decision it was to live and work in Hickory, NC. After living in Texas and Minnesota, we have found the weather here moderate and the residents friendly.

After graduating college, I began a 25-year career as a golf professional in the private club industry. Upon moving to Hickory in 1996 I met my wife and found Hickory to be a wonderful place to raise our 3 boys. When my wife and I were married, we decided we needed to explore for a little bit and get out on our own.
